The Blue Project
The Blue Project, a new organization founded by passionate and dedicated waterman Steven Lippman, has just launched. The Blue Project seeks to protect our earth's oceans by raising awareness and featuring dynamic ocean related organizations and characters. Lippman came up with an idea to showcase the problems currently facing the ocean environment and connect with individuals through viral media.
The Blue Project was born out two surfer's vision to clean up the oceans and spotlight the horrific disasters that our oceans face daily. Issues that span from the slaughter of whales and dolphins for commercial purposes to the abundance of pollution and artificial plastics that choke the ocean's ecosystem are discussed and promoted through active awareness programs.
The Blue Project's mission is simple. Put as stop to the horrific acts that humans commit as a global population on our oceans. In realizing that humans cannot overnight, halt the environmental injustices committed on our oceans, The Blue Project believes it is a moral duty to take a stand. The Blue Project's campaign is about involvement, not talk. They bring together oceanic organizations and create a community that educates and inspires action.

ASR is excited to have already been featured on The Blue Project's new website. ASR as a marine and coastal consultaion and engineering firm is dedicated to raising public awareness regarding issues detrimental to the health of our oceans. As a passionate group of surfers and coastal enthusiasts, we care deeply about promoting sustainalbe coastal engineering options, developing marine habitat, and helping curb the tremendous amount of pollution and devesating burdens confronting our oceans.

This is great, i think there are going to be a lot of similar groups and organizations forming after the oil spill crisis in the Gulf.
